Keeping Quilt A homemade quilt made from scraps of family clothing ties together four generations of an immigrant Jewish family, from their Russian origins to their new life in America. Over the course of a century the quilt serves variously as a Sabbath tablecloth, a wedding canopy and a blanket for new born babies. Richly detailed black and white charcoal drawings form a backdrop against which the brilliants colours of the quilt are thrown into relief.
