This account of the Civil Rights marches in Selma, Alabama and Montgomery, tell the story of how children were involved in these historic events and draws on personal recollections and first person accounts. The narrative is also told in a sequence of compelling archive photographs that show the brutality of the state troopers in dealing with protest as well as the dignity and determination of the marchers themselves who were to win a landmark victory in the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
